Molybdenum concentrate
Molybdenum concentrate MoS2 is lead gray
Classification:
Detailed description
Molybdenum concentrate MoS2 is lead gray, similar to graphite, with metallic luster, belonging to the hexagonal crystal system, the crystal is often hexagonal flake, the bottom surface often has patterns, soft and slippery, thin and flexible. The specific gravity is 4.7~4.8, the hardness is 1~1.5, and the melting point is 795 ℃.
The main element molybdenum content of molybdenum concentrate produced by most molybdenum mines in China is low and the impurity is high. Except for a few molybdenum concentrates with high grade, most molybdenum concentrates contain 45% ~ 47% Mo. Compared with the molybdenum concentrate produced in the United States and Chile, the main element content is 3 to 7 percentage points lower. The reason is that since the 1950 s, the standard of molybdenum concentrate is based on the former Soviet standard. Although the quality of molybdenum concentrate is not high, it meets the current national standards. The reason for the large gap between the quality of molybdenum concentrate and that of foreign industrial developed countries is that, in addition to the lower implementation standards, the lead content of molybdenum concentrate in China is high from the point of view of mineral processing technology.
